Responsibilities
Appointment Scheduling
Coordinate patient appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling to keep providers' calendars running smoothly.
Virtual Receptionist
Answering calls and respond to patient inquiries, follow up on appointments, and send reminders via email, phone, or secure messaging.
Medical Billing & Insurance Claims
Help process insurance claims, handle billing tasks, and follow up on outstanding payments.
Medical Transcription & Documentation
Accurately transcribe patient visits, update medical notes, and ensure that EHRs are kept up-to-date.
Prescription Refills & Authorizations
Manage prescription requests and handle authorization processes with insurance providers.Headline
Qualifications for Virtual Medical Assistant Applicants
Strong English Communication Skills
You’ll need excellent verbal and written English skills to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and patients.
Educational Background
A graduate of any medical-related course (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology) or at least one year of experience working in a healthcare-related account or setting is required.
Relevant Healthcare Knowledge
Familiarity with medical terminology, basic administrative tasks, and healthcare processes is essential. Experience with medical billing, transcription, or insurance processing is a big plus.
Technically Proficient
Comfortable using online communication platforms, EHR systems, and other healthcare software.
Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, solve problems independently, and efficiently prioritize work in a remote setting.
Minimum PC & Internet Requirements
